The European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine (abbrev.: ECAWBM) strives to provide animal owners and their veterinarians with veterinarians specialised in animal welfare and behavioural medicine through qualified European Specialists. The college is composed of two sub-specialities namely animal welfare and behavioural medicine. Diplomates have undergone an extensive, well-defined training over many years within the fields of animal welfare and behavioural medicine prior to becoming an ECAWBM Diplomate. This assures high quality service to the general pet owning public and to referring veterinarians.
Diplomates in Behavioural Medicine should pass a demanding board examination.
Please feel free to contact the ECAWBM Secretary if you have questions about the ECAWBM.
If you are a pet owner and have questions or are seeking professional advice regarding your pet, please contact a local veterinarian for help.
The College is affiliated to the journal Animals. College members have a 10% discount.
